Dyson DC25 Vacuum Cleaner Review

Review of the Dyson DC25 Upright Vacuum Cleaner

The DC25 upright vacuum works on all floor types. As with most of the Dyson vacuum cleaners, this vacuum enables you to steer smoothly with a turn of your wrist because of their ball technology.

There are a couple of DC25 models available for you to choose from; the Animal and All Floors models. The major difference between the two models is the Animal model has a specifically designed motorized brushbar featuring powerful bristles that remove dirt and pet hair from carpets. The All Floors model has a brushbar designed more for lifting regular dirt and debris.

The 16 foot quick-telescoping wand is used for stairs, drapes, upholstery, ceilings and those hard to reach places.

The Dyson upright vacuum cleaners are bagless and use a washable filter so you save time and money replacing bags. Shipping is free when ordering online. This vacuum is a good fit for any home whether you have carpet, hard woods or throw rugs; it will get the job done for you.

Depending on the model you choose and where you purchase it from, pricing for the DC25 ranges from $467 new, with a 5 year warranty, to $279 refurbished.

Weight and Assembly:

The weight of this vacuum is around 16 lbs., which is heavier than some brands, but most people find it very easy to handle and move around. You can carry this vacuum up and down stairs very quickly and without any trouble of attachments falling off. If you purchase on line, assembly is fairly easy, although reviews state that the included instructions could be better.

Attachments:

This is worth mentioning because the wand and handle attachment is right inside the top cap. You flip it open and pull it out and the suction changes over to the wand. The vacuum’s cyclonic suction with the wand is fantastic and picks up most everything. For getting cat and dog hair off furniture, the wand works great.

Washable Filters:

The vacuum comes standard with a washable lifetime HEPA filter. The filter traps microscopic allergens (such as pollen and bacteria). The company states that the air expelled from a Dyson has up to 150 times less bacteria and mold than the air you breathe, and all Dyson uprights are certified asthma friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. Something to definitely consider when purchasing a vacuum.

Dyson DC25 Recommendations:

The Dyson DC25 is a buy. Overall, if you choose to purchase this vacuum online or in the store you should be very pleased with its performance.

One user said she thought it was the best vacuum she has ever used. This vacuum has a lot of suction and can reach into hard to get corners and ceilings.

It has lived up to another users, as it is easy to handle, and the 16 lbs makes such a difference compared to the heavier vacuum she had before, she had no problem carrying it upstairs and felt the cost was well worth it.

Those that have small children have found this vacuum comes in very handy to clean up after dinner; right under the high chair, or when kids track in mud across your clean floors. The Dyson DC25 saves so much time in cleaning because you make one pass, and the floor is clean.

We have not found many negative comments about this vacuum except assembly was a little tricky and the installation instructions could have been better.
