Dyson DC35 Multi Floor Vacuum Cleaner Review

Review of the Dyson DC35 Multi Floor Vacuum Cleaner

The Dyson DC35 Multi Floor is a lightweight “stick” vacuum. It only weighs a mere 4.96 pounds and is cordless for greater freedom.

The Multi Floor model has a digital motor and is said to be the most powerful cordless vac. It has 65 air watts of suction in max mode and 28 air watts in standard mode.

This Dyson model features a long reach “wand” that is detachable and a motorized floor tool that can clean both hard floors and carpet.

The warranty for the DC Multi Floor is a 2 year parts and labor.

Pricing for the Dyson DC35 Multi Floor is approximately $299.

Dyson DC35 Features:

  • Dyson Cyclone Technology
  • Digital Motor
  • Bagless design
  • Motorized floor
  • Detachable long reach wand
  • Clear dust bin
  • Cordless

Cyclone Technology:

The Dyson Cyclone Technology is built in to this small vacuum. This means more suction and if you have ever owned a handheld or stick vac, you’ll be glad of this technology. This also means that the Multi Floor will not lose suction power.

Cordless:

No outlets to search for and no cords to trip over. Better yet, the DC35 uses a fade free lithium-ion battery for power. Fade free will help to deliver even power so you will have thoroughly vacuumed carpets or floors even up to the end of the charge. Another great feature with this battery is that it recharges 3 times faster than other batteries; less down time in between charges.

Attachments:

The attachments included allow more versatile and thorough cleaning than most “stick” or hand held vacuums. You can vacuum floors or carpets with the motorized floor tool; which has rotating nylon brushes. Also included is a debris nozzle that easily changes to a brush tool to use for dusting. There is a crevice tool for baseboards and tight spaces; and a lightweight long reach wand for getting those hard to reach areas.

Dyson DC35 Recommendation:

Mrs. Clean recommends this model.

This is one stick vacuum that I get excited about because it is different than most in that its uniquely designed and conveniently doubles as a handheld. It has more power and it is truly versatile not a “one hit wonder”. You can vacuum up cheerios, do rugs, bare floors, ceilings and more. It is lightweight and easy to take up stairs or out to your car.

If you have ever tried another hand held cordless vacuum to clean your car, then you will appreciate the suction power of this machine. Use it for quick clean up emergencies, or some people even use it to clean and dust their whole house. For this type of vacuum, its power is superior and even when compared to less expensive full size vacuums, measures up.

Yes, Dyson’s are expensive but you are getting quality and one of the best warranties available.

PROS:

The most powerful cordless vacuum dyson has. Ion battery powered for fast charging, and even power.

Versatile; the DC35 can be used as a stick vacuum or a handheld and comes with accessories to both vacuum and dust and reach high places.

Lightweight and easy to maneuver for quick clean ups. Easy to store and does not take up as much space as a full size vacuum.

Motorized power head that has anti-static brushes for hard floors and rotating brushes for carpets. No additional costs.

The Multi Floor uses a washable filter instead of paper filters and is bagless. No running to the store or the expense of replacing filters or bags.

Excellent warranty this type of vacuum: 2 years parts and labor.

CONS:

More expensive than most “stick” vacuums or handhelds.

The power operates by squeezing a trigger. This can be an issue if you are using it to vacuum your whole house or doing longer jobs.

The motorized head is not as wide as a full size vacuum so it will take longer to do large areas.

Cordless vacuums have a smaller dirt bin capacity and need frequent emptying.
